swim baby

I remembered i was at 5 when abah taught me on how to swim. abah used to bring us (my siblings & i) to public swimming pool on every weekend and we were charged about 50 cents/head to use the public pool. yes, all my siblings can swim very well. macam tu laa jadik anak askar. umur 6 tahun mmg dah kene campak dalam pool dah.

I am not a very-very good swimmer who can do all kind of swimming style, but I think I am good enough to survive whenever I was thrown into the sea, kecuali kalau ada jaws mcm cite jaws tu lain cite la.

then, I met my husband, who love to swim mcm I jugak. good chemistry.

after we got married, husband lagi gile swimming as he decided to join the Triathlon (later on - Iron man!). so whenever he got practices, tak kire siang malam, for at least once a week, I will have my swimming session too, until I reach my 8 months pregnant of hadzim. note: achivement at 8 months - still manage to do 50metres x 8 laps :) sampai tercungap-cungap tak cukup nafas, kadang-kadang dengan cramp kaki lagi.

as soon as we have hadzim in our life, we already make our "swimming plan" for him.

we brought hadzim for swimming as early as 3 ½ months. for the beginning, hadzim was introduced with the floaties. kenapa pakai floaties? to introduce hadzim with the water so that he will not afraid with the deep water & supaya dapat mandi dalam kolam dewasa dengan mak pak nya yang sibuk nak mandi jugak. owh - mak paknya terpaksa gilir-gilir jaga hadzim sebab ayah nak practice, ibu pon nak buat lap dia jugak hahaha.

so far hadzim has good chemistry with the water. from the moment he was born, he never cried bila mandi. maka bile masuk pool pon rilek je la. siap tak pakai baju (tak beli baju swimming lagi, cuma swimming pants je ada, heh teruk betul mak pak dia).

hadzim is now at 5 1/2 months. so far we had brought him to the pool for about 6 times (we always go to the pool on every weekend). i can see that he loves the water very much. kadang-kadang tu keluar laa suara excited dia. dah boleh kayuh kaki sikit-sikit as he trying to move towards me.

lepas swim, a bottle of milk must be prepared. mesti sudah lapar. feed him & dia akan terus tidur, pastu mak kene tunggu sampai ayah abis training pulakkk.

p/s alhamdulillah, walaupun hadzim mandi tak pakai baju, so far tak pernah lagi dia demam or selsema lepas swimming :)
