1st day - UEA Village

syukur alhamdulillah, we arrived Norwich airport at 11.30am 9/9/14. flight KLM was delayed about 1hour.
tiada masalah di imigresen. luggage semua pon OK.
Izzudin (phd student) sambut kami di airport. Ashraf (phd student who was the first one Hafdzuan get in touch with UEA student) & abg Lan (was told he work as taxi driver in Norwich) was waiting at the car park. Izzudin brought us to Ashraf's place. dijamu nasi lemak norwich hehe .. alhamdulillah.
lps lunch Hafdzuan ke accomodation office UEA to settle whether we could go in to our house by today. sementara tu bebudak main di playground depan rumah Ashraf which was kinda cool. masih lagi jakun & macam tak percaya we are going to live here for the next 13months ...

alhamdulillah kunci terus dapat hari tu jugak. Izzudin sent us to our so called new home :)
we stayed at UEA village, btol2 depan uni entrance. adalah dlm 600m from entrance to school building.. tak delah jauh sgt. our rental is about 154pound/week.
lg bersyukur sbb rumah baru refurbished, carpet semua tukar baru (tak de issue carpet kotor yelah mat saleh mmg pakai kasut dlm rumah), dapat new fridge & new oven stove.
rumah pon not bad. semua mmg complete dgn fridge, stove, oven, sofa, study table, dining table for 4, tv cabinet, wardrobe, bath tub, vaccum, penyapu, langsir, backyard, katil queen, katil singlex2. rumah ialah 2 tingkat, 2 bilik, 1 bilik air kat tingkat atas.

ingat lagi hari pertama terus masak nasi & sardin, haha. rasanya things that we brought hampir mantap (cewah) .. dah siap bawak beras 5kg, periuk kuali, rice cooker, lesung batu hihi, blender, susu bebudak 3pack each, ikan bilis, rempah ratus, maggie, kicap, sos, apa ntah lg & makanan sikit2 at least to survive for the first week sebab tak tahu lagi kedai kat mana. sentiasa kene beringat we have kids to handle.. kalau lapar mmg parah .. syukur sgt apa yg kita pack mmg complete (or at least almost completed).

second day Izzudin offer untuk bawa kami anak beranak kenal shopping supermarket to get halal chicken & beli brg rumah. to Asda we off. Izzudin was relly helpful in every single thing. we seriusly owe him. glad we met a new friend like him.

Moving to Norwich

Yup, as mentioned in the tittle. we have moved to Norwich, Norfolk recently. to be exact we arrived here on last 9/9/14. sekarang baru nak belog hahaha ..

to make it short, Hafdzuan has received HLP (hadiah latihan persekutuan) scholarship to further his master degree, doing Climate Change (dont ask me more on his course, i wont bother much haha). his choosen uniersity is University of East Anglia, located in Norwich, Norfolk. makanya kalau dah scholar by HLP haruslah cover anak bini. alhamdulillah. it was great opportunity to get the scholarship.. mmg tak sangka sangat boleh dapat because it was the first time Hafdzuan applying for it & terus dapat.

we have make few plans before we moved .. such as jual lah kereta ku to reduce his commitment (eventhough gajinya masih jalan + allowance) sebab nanti tinggal gaji dia jek .. as i will not be working anymore. 

the most sweetest thing, management suddenly changed my resignation to unpaid leave just 2 weeks before i leave the company. syukur alhamdulillah. balik nanti ada keje dah menanti hehe. best gile isi form 14months leave hoi. haha.

so our last day of working was 29/8. flight will be on 8/9. hectic jugaklah ke sana ke mari, pegi bank uruskan pasal bank & duit, pegi JPJ utk buat international driving license, before that pegi buat visalah, medical checkup laa .. byk betul requirement.

and then kenduri kesyukuran on 1.9. terima kasih pada yg sudi hadir.

lepas tu final week mulalah buat preparation luggage plak, apa nak bawak, apa yg perlu bawak. baju, rempah ratus, pingaan mangkuk sikit for a start, belacan (penting hoi) & etc. we end up in 3 luggage x 40kg with 1 box. tapiiiiiii masa check in luggage baru kutahu (sbb ku tak baca haha!) mx per luggage 32kg sahaja. reshuffle blk all the luggage & transfered to boxes .. tambah lg 3boxes. ok la as long tak kene buang barang huhu. we just bring 120kg eventho we entitled for 160kg.

we flew by MAS business class (hewhew). first time for me naik business class to overseas haha.

our flight was kul-amsterdam (by Mas) & amsterdam-norwich (KLM).

journey kul-ams = 13hours. transit 2hours. ams-nor 35mins.

housewife byk keje woiiii. baru kutahu. hanta anak g skolah. basuh baju guna tgn (tak de washing machine huwaaaa), masak (min 3x sehari, kekadang jadik 4x sebab sini sejuk so manjang lapa).

hadzim has started his school. i should blog in next entry.
